1) Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 8, 2026

1.1 Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).

The App is operated by Techiox Ltd ("we", "our", or "us"), registered at 82 James Carter Road, Suite A, Mildenhall, United Kingdom, IP28 7DE. Whisper Social is a product of Techiox Ltd.

The App is designed to allow anonymous public interaction. However, we may collect and process certain information to operate the App, ensure safety, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1.2 Information We Collect

(A) Information You Provide

  • Content you create: posts, comments, messages, reports, and feedback.
  • Communications with support.

Note: Public content is anonymous to other users but associated with internal identifiers for safety and moderation.

(B) Automatically Collected Information

We may collect technical and usage data, including:

  • Device identifiers (e.g., device ID, installation ID, app instance ID)
  • Device information (model, OS version, app version, language, timezone)
  • Network information (IP address, approximate location, ISP)
  • Security and integrity signals (e.g., emulator detection, root/jailbreak status, tampering signals)
  • Log data (timestamps, usage patterns, error logs)

We may use security technologies (including mobile runtime protection and anti-fraud tools) to detect abuse, bots, tampering, and suspicious activity.

(C) Location Data

We may process approximate location (e.g., city or region) derived from IP or device signals to provide location-based features. We do not require precise GPS location unless explicitly enabled by you.

(D) Reports and Moderation Data

When users report content or behavior, we collect information related to the report and investigation.

(E) Purchases and Subscription Data

If you purchase a paid plan (such as Whisper Plus or Whisper Pro) through the Apple App Store or Google Play:

  • Payment processing: Apple or Google processes the payment. We do not receive your full payment card number, bank account details, or full billing address from the App Store / Play checkout.
  • What we may receive and store: product or subscription identifiers (for example plus_weekly, pro_monthly), purchase or transaction identifiers, original transaction identifiers, purchase and expiry / renewal timestamps, subscription status (active, expired, cancelled, in billing retry, refunded, or revoked), store environment (production or sandbox), and related receipt or server-notification payloads needed to verify the purchase.
  • Account linkage: we may associate purchase records with your Whisper Social account (or related internal identifiers) so we can unlock, restore, and revoke premium features.

1.3 How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Operate and improve the App
  • Provide, maintain, and secure the service
  • Deliver and manage paid subscriptions and premium entitlements
  • Verify purchases, restore purchases, process renewals, and respond to store billing events (including refunds, chargebacks, cancellations, and revocations)
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and illegal activity
  • Enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines
  • Moderate content and investigate reports
  • Comply with legal obligations and law enforcement requests
  • Analyze usage trends and improve user experience

Where UK GDPR applies, we typically process purchase and entitlement data to perform our contract with you (providing the paid service you bought) and, where appropriate, for our legitimate interests in preventing fraud and resolving billing disputes — without overriding your rights and freedoms.

1.4 Monitoring and Moderation

We use automated systems and user reports to detect and enforce violations across content and communications.

Public posts may be automatically screened before broader visibility.

Messages are transmitted and stored to provide the service; we may process them for safety and abuse prevention.

Safety & child protection

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and sexual content involving minors.

Where legally required, we may preserve, disclose, and report relevant information to appropriate authorities.

1.5 Legal Compliance and Law Enforcement

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Protect the safety of users or the public
  • Prevent or investigate illegal activity
  • Protect our rights and property

We do not proactively share user data with law enforcement except as required by law or valid legal requests.

1.6 Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the service
  • Fulfill legal obligations
  • Resolve disputes
  • Enforce agreements

Purchase and subscription records may be retained for as long as needed to maintain entitlements, handle renewals and disputes, prevent fraud, and meet accounting, tax, or legal requirements.

We may retain certain data for safety, security, and compliance purposes even after account deletion.

Important: deleting your Whisper Social account (or uninstalling the App) does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. You must cancel the subscription in your Apple or Google account settings. After account deletion, we may still retain limited purchase records as required for fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance.

1.7 Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no system is completely secure.

1.8 Sharing of Information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers and infrastructure partners
  • Apple Inc. and Google LLC (and their affiliates) as app-store and payment platforms for in-app purchases and subscription management
  • Moderation and security vendors
  • Legal authorities when required
  • Business partners in aggregated or anonymized form

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

1.9 Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for users under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it and may report illegal activity.

Paid subscriptions are intended for users who are old enough to enter into a binding contract under applicable law (and, where required, with a parent or guardian’s consent for store purchases).

1.10 Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Requests can be submitted through the App or support channels.

Requests to delete your account data do not cancel store billing. To stop recurring charges, cancel your subscription with Apple or Google.
